SMICS and GRICS engaged clinicians at Wonthaggi and Latrobe Regional Hospital to review information sharing for referral between metropolitan hospitals and regional centres. Our small study found, currently the use of the My Health Record (MHR) platform is not being optimised for information sharing between health services, and does not provide enough information for the purposes of repatriating oncology patients.

LMICS established a GP Oncology Hotline within Bendigo Health, to enhance the accuracy & timeliness of GP referrals to appropriate cancer treatment and support.
Embed and Spread was a statewide project funded by the Victorian Department of Health and led by the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre (ACSC) in collaboration with Cancer Council Victoria and implementation support from the VICS.

Supported by a GICS grant, this Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre program aims to enhance early access to health education and support for oncology patients in the Grampians region.
Early in 2021, PICS held 3 workshops with parents/carers and young people to hear about their cancer care experiences, identify areas for improvement, and learn about the best ways to work with families.
