This video has been developed by PICS, Victoria’s Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service.

PICS has developed a series of e-learning modules for health professionals on cancer survivorship and long-term follow-up for children and adolescents following treatment for cancer.

The video below explains the reasons for holistic, long-term follow-up care after treatment for childhood cancer.

It also describes late complications that can follow treatment for childhood cancer, including effects on:

  • dentition (teeth)
  • thyroid
  • heart
  • lungs
  • fertility
  • musculoskeletal system
