LotusLab: a digital app to improve access to information and clinical trials following childhood cancer

PICS is providing project management and clinical education expertise to support a Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) led project developing an app that provides information about childhood cancer experiences and answers questions about life after treatment.

The LotusLab app presently includes:

  • a library of topics
  • useful links
  • informative videos
  • personal documents like a treatment summary and surveillance roadmap.

It also provides up-to-date information on supportive care and survivorship clinical trials and can help identify which trials families might be interested in.

Read more about the app on the PICS 'Coming off treatment' page

The app is currently being trialled with families and healthcare professionals, to make sure it is helpful and easy to use.

This project is funded by a 3-year grant from the Cancer Trials Management Scheme Competitive Grants Program, administered by Cancer Council Victoria and the Victorian Government through the Victorian Cancer Agency.
