GRICS at Clinical Oncology Society of Australia ASM 2024
GRICS was delighted to attend the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia’s (COSA) 51st Annual Scientific Meeting this year with many posters highlighting the invaluable work being undertaken across Gippsland. Our signature blue posters were clearly visible and easily associated with the VICS, with many people heading from the posters to our booth to find out more about improvements in cancer services currently underway in Gippsland.
Our posters included;
Care Plus – timely palliative care referrals for incurable oesophagogastric and pancreatic cancer patients in Gippsland.
Central Gippsland Health and Bairnsdale Regional Health Service – Advanced Care Planning – A collaborative approach to advanced care planning in regional Victoria.
Gippsland Southern Health Service survivorship clinic – Implementation of in-home cancer survivorship model of person-centred care for South Gippsland Shire and surrounds.
Home-based chemotherapy – Regionalising home-based chemotherapy for multiple myeloma
Melanoma matters – A comprehensive approach to skin cancer
Prostate cancer and exercise – A PRISMA compliant systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials.
Exercise and Cancer program in Latrobe Valley – New models of exercise care for cancer patients in regional areas.
