Geriatric oncology telehealth service development at GV Health

A grant from HRICS supported the development of a geri-oncology telehealth service at Goulburn Valley Health (GV Health) to provide a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) within 7 days of patients’ initial specialist appointments. Patients aged 70 years and over with a cancer diagnosis, undergo screening, and if eligible, are referred for a CGA via telehealth with a specialist clinician based at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

Recommendations for interventions are provided to support patients through their cancer treatment.
