Digitising the Caring Through Touch program

A NEMICS service improvement grant is supporting work to digitise Austin Health’s ‘Caring Through Touch’ program engaged a diverse group of consumers in the development of a video showing safe massage techniques to provide comfort and support to a loved one with cancer.

Impacts

This initiative has improved access to safe oncology massage to manage supportive care needs. Patients and carers who participated in evaluation of the video described its benefit in supporting their connection.
