Bendigo | Relay for Life
Relay For Life is a fun and moving experience that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention and support services.
Relay is a chance for the community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, those going through a cancer experience and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost, and to raise money to help save more lives.
LMICS attended on 20 April 2024 in support of SunSmart Victoria’s early detection campaign.
The campaign was launched in Bendigo at the Relay for Life by Cancer Council Victoria CEO Todd Harper AM and Local Member for Bendigo East and Premier of Victoria, the Hon. Jacinta Allan – you can find the media release here.
SunSmart’s Early Detection Saves Lives campaign, funded by the Victorian Department of Health, will run for eight weeks in the Loddon Mallee region to urge people in the region to check their skin and to see a GP should they notice any changes.
For more information and to encourage your patients to check their skin and to see you if they notice changes, please see your Campaign Toolkit for Health Professionals.
