Latrobe Valley Exercise and Cancer Program Research to Practice Conference

Latrobe Valley Exercise and Cancer Program Research to Practice Conference

In May 2024, Exercise Physiologists from LCHS had the opportunity to attend the Research to Practice conference in Sydney. The opportunity afforded attendees the ability to listen to and gain insight into the latest research within the exercise and sports science industry from industry leading professionals. The conference covered a diverse range of topics, from advancements in AI and digital technology within sports and rehabilitation to the importance of continually questioning and critically translating research to deepen understanding of exercise and sport science. LCHS Exercise Physiologists presented the Exercise and Cancer Program which is run out of the Latrobe Leisure centres, detailing the advantages of prescribing exercise programs in a non-clinical setting and how it can assist in improving client function and strength.
