HRICS Grant Funded Project - Scripted Exercise Therapy

The Scripted Exercise Therapy (SET) for patients with Advanced Cancer project began with a rigorous diagnostics phase to develop a framework for delivery of scripted exercise therapy as part of routine therapy for advanced cancer patients within GV Health. The second phase was a ‘pilot’ implementation of the framework as proof of concept.

Results showed patients who participated improved their physical function and reported higher wellness indicators.

A final report, operations manual, and business case have been submitted for project sponsor and executive endorsement and will support future funding applications for establishment of a SET program within the Community Rehabilitation Centre at GV Health.
