Geelong Wellbeing Day for Women with Cancer

Geelong Wellbeing Day – 18th February 2026

Earlier this month BSWRICS had the joy of partnering with Counterpart to host the first Regional Wellbeing Day for 2026 in Geelong.

We were fortunate to have an inspiring group of presenters who each brought something unique to the day:

  • Monica Moore – A gentle yoga session that invited ease, breath and mindful movement
  • Polly Noble, Clinical Psychologist – A thoughtful discussion on adjusting to a diagnosis and navigating changes in lifestyle, roles and relationships
  • Cynthia Handley – A creative floral workshop that encouraged expression, play and grounding

A huge thank you to the dedicated Counterpart volunteers Trish F, Chris S and Judith M, your generosity and steady support helped the day run smoothly.

The organisations who joined to share resources, expertise and connection included
Look Good Feel Better Australia (LGFB), Kings Funerals, Mending Casts Inc, Leukaemia Foundation, Greater Geelong – Queenscliffe Mental Health & Wellbeing Local.

Together a space for learning, creativity and community was created, a wonderful way to begin the year.

To everyone who joined, thank you! Your willingness to show up, participate and connect is what makes these gatherings meaningful.
