Cancer nurse self-assessment tool

A new tool to help cancer nurses assess their own skills is being developed by researchers at Monash University and McGrath Foundation, supported by the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia (CNSA).

The team is now testing the reliability of their proposed Cancer Nurse Self-Assessment Tool (CaN-SAT): They invite specialist cancer nurses working at the level of clinical nurse, clinical nurse specialist, or clinical nurse consultant to contribute by completing an online survey here.

You will be asked to rate each statement in the self-assessment tool from 1 to 5, to indicate your level of capability, where 1 = Novice and 5 = Expert. The survey will take about 30–45 minutes to complete.

Your consent to participate in this study is implied by completion of the survey. Please note that your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. This study has been approved by the Monash University Human Research Ethics Committee (Approval number 42539).
