High-energy food and drinks

This resource has been developed by PICS, Victoria’s Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service.

Most children on treatment for cancer will have a poor appetite at some stage, or may have problems with weight loss or slow growth. A diet high in energy (kilojoules) may be necessary. The leaflet below contains advice for parents, carers, and families on increasing your child’s energy intake using high-energy food and drinks.
