Breastfeeding a child being treated for cancer
This resource has been developed by PICS, Victoria’s Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service.
The leaflet below has been developed to help parents and carers to continue breastfeeding during their baby’s treatment for cancer. Breast milk has many important nutrients that can help protect your baby from allergies and illnesses such as colds and gastroenteritis. Just as importantly, breastfeeding can provide comfort to you and your baby during treatment.
