PerEmpo Trial for Person Centred Value Based Health Care
GICS have collaborated with Grampians Health cancer care staff to trial the facilitation of Person Centred Value Based Health Care (PCVBHC)
GICS have partnered with Sprink for a 12-month trial, using PerEmpo technology, to seek and understand what actually matters to a person (goals & values) in relation to their life and circumstances to inform treatment related decision making.
Sprink are leading the implementation of PCVBHC internationally through the development of a worldwide community of practice. The PerEmpo technology has been developed to capture, rate, measure and aggregate the capacity of a person to live their life according to their values and goals.
This technology was adopted for Grampians Health patients with lung cancer in June 2025, and additional cohorts, metastatic breast cancer and prostate cancer commenced in December 2025.
We will have further project updates as the trial progresses.
