Improving Timely Use of Enteral Feeding in High-Risk Cancer Treatment

Supported through the HRICS 2026 MK Memorial Grants Program, this project established the evidence base to inform redesign of outpatient enteral feeding processes at GV Health. Through stakeholder engagement, benchmarking and baseline diagnostics, it identified current barriers and opportunities to improve timely nutrition intervention for high-risk oncology patients. A key output was the development of three evidence-informed recommendations focusing on staff education, nursing guidance and standardised outpatient enteral feeding processes. The project provides a clear roadmap to support future implementation and improve access to timely nutrition care for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
