Enhancing Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) Safety Through Simulation Based Education in Regional Cancer Care

Supported through the HRICS 2026 MK Memorial Grants Program, this project implemented a simulation-based education program to strengthen workforce capability in central venous access device (CVAD) management at Albury Wodonga Health. Key achievements included the development of a simulation-based education package and framework, procurement of specialised simulation equipment, and delivery of simulation-based training. The project has strengthened clinician knowledge and confidence, enhanced procedural practice, and established a sustainable education model to support ongoing capability in CVAD management.
