Developing a nurse led model of care for individuals with cancer to access treatment focused genetic testing

A project is underway at Austin Health, supported by a NEMICS service improvement grant, to develop a nurse-led model of care for individuals with cancer to access treatment-focused genetic testing. The project aims to address service demand and deliver timely results that can inform a personalised approach to treatment and management in a cohort of cancer patients who do not currently meet eligibility for mainstream genetic testing programs.
