Allied Health Cancer Care Education Program

Supported through the HRICS 2026 MK Memorial Grants Program, this project strengthened partnerships between Albury Wodonga Health and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre through a specialised immersive training program. The initiative provided foundational upskilling for allied health clinicians across multiple disciplines, as well as Aboriginal Liaison Officers, strengthening workforce capability in the delivery of cancer care. Post-program evaluation demonstrated increased participant knowledge, confidence, and capability. Clinicians who completed the program will act as clinical champions, supporting knowledge translation and mentoring colleagues within their respective departments. The project also established an Allied Health Community of Practice to support sustainable knowledge sharing, collaboration, and ongoing learning across the organisation.
