Health professional FAQs
VCCOR consolidates comprehensive data on children, and AYA patients (aged 0-25) treated for cancer within the Victorian healthcare system. This will ensure timely access to complete, accurate, representative, current, and consistent data, that is fit for purpose.
Our registry integrates data that is already routinely collected from our data partners across Victoria’s paediatric and adolescent and young adult (AYA) health services. It combines clinical, treatment, and outcome data for paediatric cancer patients, as detailed in the VCCOR Data Dictionary.
Contact us to discuss specific data needs or questions.
Because VCCOR combines data that is already routinely collected, there is no additional burden on health professionals caring for young cancer patients in Victoria.
VCCOR follows strict privacy, confidentiality, and Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) guidelines. Analyses and extracts are de-identified by default to protect patient confidentiality.

Approved clinician researchers, and participating health services may access VCCOR data for purposes aligned with improving paediatric cancer care, subject to ethical and governance approvals.
Requests from VCCOR data partners will be fulfilled without charge. Requests from other bodies may incur a fee.
Requests for de-identified VCCOR data require Ethics approval to be submitted with the data request form (and then include the link to the data request form).
