The Victorian Government launched its new Victorian Cancer Plan on 12 September 2024. The VICS managers, clinical directors, and governance groups welcome the new plan and look forward to contributing to its success.

The VICS' latest strategic consultation has surveyed stakeholders across the state about endometrial cancer care. 119 health professionals and other stakeholders were asked to select perceived 'unwarranted variations' in endometrial cancer care in their region and describe barriers, enablers and preferences for optimal care. 

In 2025, the VICS will deliver strategic consultations on equity and quality of care in Victoria for colorectal cancer, head and neck cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The VICS Optimal Care Summits program will engage multidisciplinary health professionals and other stakeholders from across the state.
