WDHS & BSWRICS 2025 Abstract Acceptance at COSA

Abstract accepted for oral presentation at the upcoming 2025 Joint Meeting of COSA ASM and IPOS Congress.

We are pleased to announce that an abstract submitted by the Barwon South Western Regional Integrated Cancer Services (BSWRICS) in partnership with Western District Health Service (WDHS) has been accepted for an oral presentation at the upcoming COSA Conference being held in November 2025.

The abstract titled ‘a 12-month implementation geriatric oncology program: from pilot to new model of care in a rural cancer service’ highlights the outcomes of a project led by WDHS. This recognition provides an opportunity to showcase the important work taking place in our region.

WDHS sought to develop and implement a geriatric oncology pilot project which commenced in January 2024. BSWRICS committed funding to support the appointment of a project officer and provide project management guidance.
