NEMICS Attends COSA-IPOS Annual Scientific Meeting 2025 in Adelaide
NEMICS was delighted to attend the joint Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) Annual Scientific Meeting and the International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS) Annual World Congress held in Adelaide this November.
We were privileged to present two oral presentations and a poster, showcasing our work and insights
Oral presentations:
- How optimal is adolescent and young adult cancer care: an audit across an integrated cancer service network
- Unheard voices: exploring patient and carer experiences in endometrial cancer care in Victoria
Poster presentation:
The VICS had a strong presence at the conference with an exhibitor booth, 16 delegates, five oral presentations and 13 poster presentations. These highlighted key achievements and contributions to the Australian Cancer Plan, the Victorian Cancer Plan 2024–28 and the VICS Action Plan.
Of particular interest this year was the launch of the Optimal Care Pathway (OCP) for Older People with Cancer. The VICS Care of the Older Person with Cancer Toolkit will support health services in implementing this new OCP. The National Cancer Data Framework was also released, to which the VICS provided important insights and feedback on monitoring and data collection practices across Victoria.
