LMICS had the privilege of attending the combined Annual Scientific Meeting of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) and the International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS), following the acceptance of our poster showcasing the Cancer and Sexual Wellbeing Community of Practice.
This opportunity allowed us to share our work with a national and international audience, highlight the importance of integrating sexual wellbeing into cancer care, and learn from leading experts across oncology and psycho-oncology disciplines.
This poster presented by LMICS Project Lead, Tara Bewley, outlines the scoping and considerations involved in the development of a community of practice (CoP) to support regional clinicians to increase knowledge in sexual wellbeing for patients with cancer. This community encourages resource sharing and networking to enhance holistic, patient centered care within the region.
The content highlights the ongoing challenges of cancer services being able to include sexual wellbeing as part of a wholistic care model.
