HRICS Celebrates World Cancer Day United in Our Goals, Unique in Our Needs
World Cancer Day 2026 – United in Our Goals, Unique in Our Needs
In recognition of World Cancer Day 2026, reflecting the 2025–27 theme, “United in our goals – Unique in our needs”, HRICS partnered with its MOU member health services to support morning tea for their cancer service teams.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, this initiative continues to be a key component of HRICS engagement strategy, providing a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the dedication and commitment of those working in cancer care, while strengthening connections across the region. HRICS team members were privileged to attend events alongside a diverse range of regional stakeholders, while other health services utilised HRICS-provided vouchers to host their own morning tea celebrations throughout the month of February.
The initiative has fostered stronger relationships with member health services, particularly smaller sites, while supporting a deeper understanding of local operational needs and service delivery. It has also provided an opportunity to promote HRICS and highlight statewide and local service improvement initiatives, including the HRICS Grants Program.
HRICS looks forward to continuing to build these important partnerships and working collaboratively to further enhance cancer services across the Hume Region.
