GICS welcomes Andrew to CAG
Introducing Andrew Azzopardi
Owing to vacancies from within our Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) the GICS team have recently undertaken a recruitment drive to seek new members.
As a result, we are very pleased to introduce Andrew Azzopardi who commenced with our CAG in March 2026.
Andrew’s Biography
Andrew (pictured below) shares his life with wonderful Wendy, who’s been by his side throughout this cancer journey, alongside Moonshadow, a solitary tortoiseshell cat, and 2 crazy Boer goats, Trouble and Strife!
Now living at Wheatsheaf, in the Wombat Forest near Daylesford. Andrew had a long working career in Melbourne in the building and construction industry, before attending University of Ballarat in 2007 to complete a Bachelor of Education/ Technology teaching degree. He worked over the next 15 yrs as a secondary school teacher in Sebastopol, Daylesford, Castlemaine and Kyneton, teaching Technology, VCAL certificate, VET Building & Construction/ Furnishings subjects.
During this period, Andrew also found time to work onscreen in numerous productions within the film and television industry.
Now entering an earlier retired life than anticipated, Andrew alternates his time between committee responsibilities, projects/activities and the music group at Daylesford Men’s Shed and family in Melbourne.
For relaxation Andrew enjoys the novels of Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Georges Simenson and Martin Booth.
