Celebrating 10 years of GenesisCare Radiation Oncology at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre

A decade of innovation, growth and local cancer care was celebrated this week as GenesisCare Radiation Oncology service marked its 10-year anniversary delivering care within the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.

The milestone brought together local health professionals, stakeholders and partners to reflect on the journey of the service and the important role it plays in providing cancer treatment closer to home for people across the region.

Attendees heard an overview of the service and its evolution, before taking part in a guided tour to learn more about the facilities and how radiation oncology is delivered locally.

Importantly, the celebration was also an opportunity for people working across the local health sector to connect, share experiences and strengthen relationships that support cancer care across the region.

HRICS was pleased to support the event and join colleagues and partners in recognising this significant milestone.

Ten years of Radiation services delivered onsite at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre represents an important achievement for regional cancer care and reflects the commitment of the many people who have contributed to establishing, developing and delivering the service over the past decade.
