Working towards a good end of life in oncology

Coordinated by Western and Central Melbourne Integrate Cancer Service (WCMICS), the Victorian Psycho-oncology network has recently relaunched.

The network’s first meeting on Monday 17th March will feature four guest speakers from Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre;

      • Dr. Nicola Atkin, Palliative Care Physician
      • Dr. Oliver Holmes, Clinical Psychologist
      • Lauren Schairer, Manager of Social Work, Music Therapy and Art Therapy
      • Holly Pit, Nurse Unit Manager of the Palliative Care Unit

The upcoming meeting Working towards a good end of life in oncology, will feature pre-recorded presentations and be followed by a live Q&A panel discussion addressing audience-submitted questions. Presentation recordings will be made available as a clinician resource on Cancer Mind Care at the conclusion of the event.

Cancer Mind Care, Australia’s first ‘one-stop-shop’ for tailored mental health support for people with cancer, their support persons, clinicians and First Nations peoples, is an ongoing collaboration supported by Dr Maria Ftanou, Director Psychosocial Oncology at Peter Mac.
