PREp-4-Cancer Surgery Toolkit launch

A new, evidence-based online resource to support health services in implementing cancer prehabilitation for patients undergoing major surgery.

          Date: Thursday 28th August 2025
          Format: Hybrid
Time: 3.45pm-4.30pm, refreshments to follow until 5pm
Location: Level 7, Lecture Theatre B, 305 Grattan St, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre

Join us as we launch this newly developed Prehabilitation Toolkit; the culmination of a WCMICS Scale and Spread grant.

Research shows that prehabilitation can reduce surgical complications, shorten hospital stays, and enhance physical and psychological recovery; yet access to such programs remains limited.

The PREP-4-Cancer Surgery Toolkit aims to address this gap by providing freely available clinical and patient resources. The goal is to improve access to cancer prehabilitation and therefore improve surgical outcomes across Australia and Internationally, by empowering both clinicians and patients.
